You can find the "Create New Label" option on the left-hand side of your inbox. You must first click "More" to show "Create New Label." Once you've selected it, a new window will appear prompting you to name and place your label. If you want your label to exist outside of your regular inbox, leave the "Nest under label:" box blank, and click on "Create." You can also create sub-labels by clicking on the arrow to the right of the label and selecting "Add sub-label." *Note that mail sorted into the sub-label will not appear in the regular label inbox.*
