Q. Where can I go for general information to get started on a project?

The Quick Facts page on the Ames Library website is a great place to start looking for general information for research projects. It provides links to online dictionaries, encyclopedias, maps, general fact books, and other resources that may help you with your project. It can be accessed by clicking the "Facts/Reference" tab on the library home page.
You can also come to the Help@Ames desk, located on the entry level of The Ames Library with any questions you may have.
