If the book you are looking for is not available in either the Ames Library catalog or I-Share, you can request it through ILLiad.
The first step is to log into your ILLiad account. Once in ILLiad, go to the New Request box at the top of the screen. Click on the Loan option.
Fill in as much information about the book as you can provide. The fields with red asterisks must be filled in for the request to be processed. If you aren't sure of some information, you can look up the book in WorldCat. If you cannot locate some of the mandatory information or if it does not apply, you can type "n/a" into the field(s).
Books requested through Interlibrary Loan usually take about 2 weeks to arrive. You will receive an email when the book has arrived.
Students: Please pick up your book at the Library Services Desk during regular library hours.
Faculty/Staff: During the semester, books will be delivered to your departmental mailbox. During breaks and summer, please pick up your books at the Library Services Desk during regular business hours.
Please note that on rare occasions, we may not be able to locate a copy of the book for borrow. You can read more about our ILLiad policies here.
If you don't have an ILLIAD account, you can create one here.
